Carol Wierzbinski is President of Professional Therapeutic Massage LLC. After graduating from the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy in September 1993, Carol opened the doors at PTM in a small, one room office on the green in Colchester. Carol Wierzbinski Prior to attending CCMT, Carol was an Occupational Therapist, graduating in 1987 from Boston University. Her experience working in the traditional healthcare system was both extremely valuable-it gave her a strong background-and often frustrating-working within the confines of the medical model. This left her with a strong desire to do something more to help people live healthier, more productive lives.

Carol specializes in incorporating trigger point work into a full-body massage. She has always liked doing specific work, and has a special interest in working on the upper back, neck, shoulders and arms to relieve problems such as headaches, rotator cuff pain, and tendonitis. She is certified in Neuromuscular Therapy and has taken 3 levels of Craniosacral Therapy training with the Upledger Institute. Carol is also a graduate of the Barbara Brennan School of Healing. Recently she completed the course for Myokinesthetic System - Upper Body. This modality is extremely effective at eliminating headaches, shoulder, and elbow pain.

Many of Carol's clients initially came to see her for a specific problem and found massage to be so beneficial that they still come in once or twice a month in order to stay loose, relaxed, and healthy. She has worked with many of her clients for 12-15 years.
